I did the research myself, so please correct me if I made a mistake. The number at the left is how many wins the team had vs the top 25 in the final bcs poll.

    2 1. Ohio State 11-1
    4 2. LSU 11-2
    3 3. Virginia Tech 11-2
    3 4. Oklahoma 11-2
    2 5. Georgia 10-2
    1 6. Missouri 11-2
    1 7. USC 10-2
    0 8. Kansas 11-1
    1 9. West Virginia 10-2
    0 10. Hawaii 12-0

I only did the count for the top 10

    11. Arizona State 10-2
    12. Florida 9-3
    13. Illinois 9-3
    14. Boston College 10-3
    15. Clemson 9-3
    16. Tennessee 9-4
    17. BYU 10-2
    18. Wisconsin 9-3
    19. Texas 9-3
    20. Virginia 9-3
    21. South Florida 9-3
    22. Cincinnati 9-3
    23. Auburn 8-4
    24. Boise State 10-2
    25. UConn 9-3

In my opinion, the main reason the BCS was created was to put the best 2 teams in the CG. I think I can correctly argue that the system worked. (I am of the opinion that the BCS has worked fairly well all along, and is much better than the old system, which would sometimes have a scenario like #2 beating #9, and #3 beating #1, and a split champion).

The BCS is supposed to take into consideration things like SOS, and not just a team's record. It is also supposed to limit some of the unfair bias that was in the old polls. I feel the team that had the best argument to be in was Okla, but we won one more game against a top 25 than them, and our losses were in triple OT. They can argue that their losses were on the road, and we lost one at home. We can argue that they lost to an 8-4 and a 6-6 team, and we lost to an 8-4 and 7-5 team, with Heisman candidates on each team.
In the end, we win a close one.

The point of all of this was that I want our fans to be able to say why we deserve to be the 2 loss team to go. We beat more BCS top 25 teams than any other team in the nation! Period! That is why we deserve to go!

Many people, including myself, thought that the SECCG would stop the SEC from being in the NCG, but it has turned out to be a springboard. (Sorry TN, for that last sentence, see 01 season).

My final comment follows: by winning this game, LSU will prove to be the most dominant team of the decade. No other team has won 2 BCSCG's. We must take this opportunity to prove that we are THE program, and that OK, tOSU, USC, and FL are just one notch behind us!

    GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to see more weight given to SOS. It's highly underrated.
