After the booster comments went public, it wouldn't have mattered if Alleva kissed Les' bare backside on national TV. The national sports media had their narrative and their angle, and they were all going to run with it no matter what he said.
I don't get the impression that the issue is Jimbo leveraging FSU for a raise. If that were the case, why would the smear campaign start a few days ago? I think the issue is public perception of us hiring a coach who ran a program with those issues. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the child custody stuff is playing some sort of role/delay, but that is less likely, and could certainly be negotiated appropriately at a later time. Maybe @bhelmLSU would be willing to give a coded update, lol?
Yeah, hopefully LSU Admin are still on track to make their move/execute their plan, and are just waiting for today's game to be over before announcing all of the details.
