I heard this on ESPN Radio on the way to work this morning. Man.... I sure am glad he managed to stay sober for a few weeks in October last year. I figured tirk ans izzle would have been all over this and had the thread up early in the morning.
dwi is such a minor crime i dont know why they even bother reporting it. who among us hasnt gotten a dwi (or at least deserved one).
In some cases, I agree completely. In others, that's absolutely not true. It comes down to circumstances. And regrettably, this was a pretty big deal. At a traffic light with his foot on the brake and the car in drive, passed out. That's a genuinely dangerous situation, and he's fortunate that he got pulled over. Having said that, did anyone else think, "HUH?" when you saw he was passed out with a .09 BAC? A .09?? And it knocked him out? Perhaps he was on medication, because there's no way the low stress spring training environment would cause that kind of exhaustion.
while i dont care for him as a manager i cant say i blame him. hes still celebrating in disbelief that david eckstein won him a world series while only winning one with the juice factory in oaktown.
Every time I see a high profile individual getted popped, I scratch my head and wonder.........you can afford it, Tony, take a cab, take a freakin' cab.
