I am just so happy for David for winning the Colonial. He is a good guy, a family guy, and you could just see how much it meant to him to win again. To come back after just missing last week and win this week is just phenomenal. He's on fire. The US Open is within reach and he is certainly capable.
Congrats to David He is a great LSU fan and i was able to follow him at the Pebble Beach AT & T. Hollared out an Geaux Tigers to him on the 17th hole as he was walking to green. He turned his head and smiled and tipped his cap. Was at SF Giants game in my wifes companies suite watching the golf then watching the game then back and forth. Glad to have Wilson and Fontenot on the Giants to pull for. Congrats.
He actually beat some guy from one of those oriental countries. You are talking about Rickie Fowler who wasn't even on the leader board. You are right though, that orange jump suit thing on Sunday is fuggly.
All the kids dig him. He attracts a lot of young folks to golf like tiger used to. Actually he's David toms sons favorite player. Go figure.
T5th is DT's best finish in the Open. He's hitting the ball well enough tee to green to be a factor. Probably boils down to performance on and around the greens. Will be interesting to see how he plays after a 2 week lay off. I'm sure he will play at Memphis the week before the Open since he's got a great record there.
Do you know if it the Open this year that is at the same Atlanta course where he won the PGA, or is it the venue again for the PGA later this year? I heard they changed the course a bit, but it still has to be a plus for him to play on the same course where he won his only major.
