instead of guessing where big ears is heading, who is Auburn going to land? Petrino has a clause in his contract that specifically forbids him from going to an other West school. So he's out of the mix (for now) Maybe Brian Kelly from Cincy if he's not waiting for the ND job. Fulmer? That would be a bit weird. Spurrier? just throwing it out there Do the ygara a young assistant from somewhere? Do they go after Peterson?
wouldnt muschamp and leach be atop their list? i wouldnt rule petrino out for a second. jimbo might be a last minute hire if they cant land their top choices. whats butch davis think about all this?
Dam! I wanted to include Muschamp. completely forgot about Leach. I wouldn't be shocked to hear Petrino, which is why I put the (for now) by his name. I think Butch Davis may wait for a higher profile gig. Jimbo? Maybe, but he's sittin' prety right now. What about Cutcliffe?
so lets say tubs goes to miss state and leach to AU just for discussion. west miles petrino saban tubs nutt leach no free games anymore.
I'm not as high on Leach as the rest of the world apparently. Before the Big XII collectively decided to do away with defense this year, Leach has been pretty average. A whole bunch of 4 and 5 loss season since taking over at TTech. Hell, even Shula shut down that offense a couple years back.
Same here. Bad fit for Auburn, personality wise imo. Im wouldnt be surprised to hear Jimbo's name a lot. Other than that I guess we will hear maybe Gills name a lot? Who else? Butch and Petrino aint coming.
i dont think hes going to me more successful than tubs but regardless where he goes its just one of those games you dont look forward to in between games. this year, it would have been ugly. we better learn how to defend the spread and soon.
Already heard Jimbo's on ESPN radio this afternoon. I hear Curley is currently un employed. Maybe they can get him cheap.
I think you might hear Cutcliffe's name bandied about quite a bit. No way that dude wants to stay at Duke where he has absolutely no chance at succeeding. And he's a really good head coach. Butch Davis likes beating Miami too much to leave.
