I think tubs is a great coach and a horrible decison by Auburn.
Quite honestly IF something happened with Miles I would have NO issues having him roam the LSU sidelines (Never thought I would say that)
But the man can coach and he is a GOOD SEC coach.

Its good for us as LSU fans, because the conference lost a great coach (For now). I suspect he will be back in the SEC sooner then Later.
Matter of fact, I would see after a year off type thing maybe South Carolina or if Miles fires up another stinker LSU.

Just got back from a pro-Tommy Tuberville protest on campus this afternoon. I'll write a full story later, but here are some of my quick observations. Turnout was solid, considering the short notice. Estimates varied, but I'll stick with about 100 people.
The group had a permit to march from the Haley Center concourse to the President's mansion. Although ten police officers were on hand, the marchers were peaceful (but boisterous).
Some of the chants...
"War Damn Tubs!"
"Bring Tubby Back!"
"We Want Tubs!"
Fans booed the mention of Bobby Lowder, a longtime member of the Board of Trustees, while cheering every mention of Tuberville's name. Many of the homemade signs were critical of Athletic Director Jay Jacobs.
Many cars honked their support, as did a campus bus driver.
The organizer was a very impressive freshman named Taylor Jones, a political science major from Montgomery.
Although Auburn President Jay Gogue did not acknowledge the marchers (and was very likely not at his house), Jones did get a one-hour sitdown with the president this morning.
"He said he respects us completely and he stands by his students," Jones said.
Jones said the president didn't discuss Tuberville's departure specifically, but did say that all athletic decisions were left in Jacobs' hands.

What was Tuesday's protest about?
1) Show support for Tuberville.
"Everybody here respects coach Tuberville," Jones said. "He's the definition of class.
2) Express anger with the process that led to his dismissal.
"We don't trust Jay Jacobs," shouted one student to loud cheers.
3) Let the powers-that-be know that many people still aren't buying the explanation that Tuberville left voluntarily.
Jones said he's heard that Jacobs is a good person, but felt the press conference to announce Tuberville's dismissal conflicted with the Auburn Creed and the university's culture of honesty.
When the crowd wanted to continue the march to Samford Hall, Jones reminded demonstrators that the permit called for the march to end at the President's house and that the police had been overly accommodating and helpful.
As the rally broke up, many students stayed and traded opinions in an informal dialogue. Ideas were discussed to meet up on Facebook and plan further demonstrations at the next Board of Trustees meeting.

It's dead week at Auburn. Their final exams begin tomorrow.

now thats pretty funny. tubby should have more relatives than that attending AU by now. that should have been cancelled til at least 500 ppl showed.
