I have it from quality sources that Phil Fulmer has sent an entourage to the Clemson area to conduct a thorough restaurant analysis. His candidacy hinges on the results.
Some Clemson players are teeing off against Bowden. Joe Schad of ESPN Radio reported that he texted Clemson QB Harper about the Bowden firing and Harper texted back "good, he got what he deserved." Clemson running back C.J. Spiller said this...."I enjoyed playing for coach Bowden and I liked him, but in the end he was yelling at us to be leaders and it wasn't working. He did all he could to motivate us but guys weren't buying into what he was saying. And he said a lot of the same things over and over again. He let the offensive coordinator run the show and we got away from me and James Davis. I think part of the problem was when he benched Cullen. Some people wanted the offensive coordinator fired, then when Bowden benched the quarterback he got fired."
Bobby Johnson to Clemson? There's lots of buzz that Vanderbilt's Bobby Johnson is going to be a prime candidate to replace Bowden at Clemson. Johnson is a native of South Carolina. He coached and played at Clemson. Oh yeah, he's also one of the hottest coaching names out there after actually winning a few games at Vanderbilt. http://www.faniq.com/blog/Tommy-Bowden-Fired-By-Clemson-After-33-Start-Blog-12680 WARNING: Clemson, beware of Vandy coaches.
So I just heard from a real estate agent friend's mother's uncle's brother that Saban dropped the bid on the house in Clemson and .... well.. I'm just sayin'...
I know Alabama's coach has been the a$$ of alot of jokes given his past, but really, the only job I seeing him leaving Bama for is Penn State if/when JoePa retires or croaks. Maybe tOSU, but I don't see Tressel going anywhere anytime soon.
He's done all he can at Bama. It's all downhill from here. It would be a genius move for him to bolt now.
