Much thanks to pjnchamps for bringing him to our attention in the 09 recruiting thread.

He is a beast. He obviously has no regard for his own body.

Runs a 4.42. If he's anywhere close to that, watch out.

    6'1" 210 lbs.

Another Texas guy LSU might get their grimy little hands on.

Good grief. He spends more time in the backfield than the QB.

The video makes him seem a bit undersized but he is just relentless and strong. What a player.

He looks great. The only problem with the highlights, especially the early ones, is that each clip is too short. It is hard to pick him out early enough to see his pursuit skills, angles, etc. Maybe it is just me, but half the time I couldn't find him until he was making the tackle. I wish each clip were a little longer. The later ones were longer and I was impressed by his aggressiveness and speed. He already has the tomahawk stripping the ball move down too. I like his tenacity. Intensity wise, he is playing on a higher level than most high school players exhibit. You can just tell he likes to hit people. He doesn't slow up at the point of impact. The only technical thing he does wrong (sometimes) is leave his feet or I should say launch himself into the ball carrier when he doesn't have to instead of keeping his legs under him. Other than that he is a heat seeking missile reminding me of that Samoan safety out of USC that went to the Steelers, the name escapes me at the moment. I want this guy-- he is just nasty and mean!

Kid has evil upper body strength. Majority of his tackles were waist and higher! His catch up speed was impressive with the few shoe string take downs shown. He needs his own dinner table.

With his speed and athleticism I could easily see him moving to outside LB. His size is more ideal for the outside because he would need to bulk up a bit to play MLB, but still it could be done. Id much rather him han Telfort, whom is much smaller. This kid is very impressive. I agree with what was mentioned, the highlights were ofter too short, so you can really see his angles. Overall though its as impressive a reel for a LB thats been made. His speed is legit. I hope we really go after this kid he could be a real superstar.

What are our chances in getting this guy? I heard some believe that Oklahoma would lead, but that is mere heresay. Anyone know our chances and who we have to beat to get him?

Oklahoma has recruited him the hardest, but Kyle Prater has his ear and is trying to lure him our way.

My guess is slight OU lean, if at all.

LSU very much in the thick of it.

Perfect name for a college drinker.

His highlights show his aggressiveness, but they are so poorly edited that you cannot really see his speed or instincts (or perhaps they are cleverly edited so you can't see those things). It is so easy to pause a frame and mark a kid with a circle so you can actually follow him that I wonder wtf these HS video editors are doing.

No circles, but I think I counted 130 tackles (give or take a couiple) packed into that video. This kid is the real deal. SA area defensive player of the year as a junior. LSU has a good shot at this guy if they really want him.
