exactly my points... ole miss was 9 yrs ago for O... like he can't be a better coach than he was 9 yrs ago... plus ole miss wasn't paying as much back then for coaches and players (yeah, i said it)... the current coach had the best players money can buy 4 yrs ago and didn't win squat with them and they're about the get the hammer of dawn (gears of war) from the NCAA... plus, as you and he stated, he's learned from his mistakes...

I completely agree. The LSU football program is now a laughingstock and a joke. This program is not committed to winning national championships. It is committed to doing just enough to get by and make some money.

Alleva never bothered to conduct a coaching search. Miles was fired two months ago when he should have been fired years ago. The AD had no plan in place to upgrade on Miles, EVEN AFTER he was almost fired last season!

On top of that, Miles gets fired in September and the LSU Athletic Dept has no plan at all to either conduct a proper search or HIRE a firm that professionally conducts coaching searches.

I'm astounded at the level of malfeasance and incompetence displayed by the LSU Athletic Director. This has nothing to do with either Coach O, Herman or Jimbo because my focus is on the completely unprofessional and incompetent Athletic Director.

I wish Coach O the best and I know that he will do well for us. He will make us proud, I am sure. But let's not allow the fact that we all like Coach O to conceal the fact that the LSU Athletic Director is completely incompetent OR intentionally malfeasant. Alleva obviously is too lazy or too stupid to have managed this coaching search situation which arose a whole year ago last November when Miles almost got fired.

If you are happy with the way that your AD is doing his job, then, we will agree to disagree.

I say that we can rally around Coach O and be honest about how the AD is doing his job.

IMHO, LSU fans have been duped by Joe Alleva. There was never any serious intent to hire a big name proven head coach. The plan all along was to make a hire on the cheap and fool the LSU fans into thinking that a serious coaching search was conducted BUT circumstances beyond our control made Coach O the only option.

Let's support Coach O because he has earned our support. BUT, Alleva needs to be fired. Alleva has earned it.

I support Coach O because I am a fellow Cajun! I probably will support him no matter what because I am biased in his favor.
