Herman 5 mil per with incentives over 6 in final year of 5 yr contract. Looks like he got what he wanted. Let's see if he's worth it. Remember 2-3 losses with UT translates to 4-5 in the SEC west. Time will tell if we made right choice on passing on him.

Fk Herman, he's the coach at Texas and I always hope they lose. The search sucked! Alleva sucks! But O is the coach and has earned my support. He didn't do much wrong when put in a very difficult situation. I didn't like the game against Florida at all and i think he failed there, but with an off-season and a real OC, who knows what he can do. I've often been called a negatiger and ill continue to call em like i see em, but I'm supporting O until he gives me a reason not too. I also think its possible that Alleva is extremely lucky that he had O to fall back on. With Alleva running the search this could have turned out much much worse.

 

I've read all the bitching and whining and am amazed at how far up their asses so many of you have your heads. WHAT DID YOU EXPECT FROM Joe Effing ALLEVA??? He is the worst excuse for an AD there is. You ought to be happy he did as well as he did. He could have rehired Les. Seriously this is the one constant in his tenure at LSU.
Now I will say he may have gotten lucky. I don't like Dumbo and frankly Herman is a risk. Any other coach than O and we have to blow up everything.
I think there is a very solid foundation here and a tweet is all that's needed. I think O showed that capability in the changes he made. Let's see what he does with his staff and more importantly next year.

 

Wait so we should be happy he basically did nothing? Herman settles for 5 mil a year we could have had him. Instead we get a repackaged version of what we already had. Joe Alleva should be in the video game business.
