Hard to say. He could have looked great against juco opponents but can't make the leap to big time SEC competition.
I think Deculus is a guard and would be a serious road grader. He doesn't have the quicks for tackle. Hoping someone like Anthony Bradford catches on at tackle. Maybe Deculus is way improved this season. He's definitely in way better shape (despite the subject of this topic lol). The offense they're running this year should help the OL. Anyone remember the stupid play action pass E called against Alabama when we were inside our own 5 last year?? If you're gonna run slow developing plays like that, you better have a better OL than the oppositions DL. From what I've seen of practice and scrimmage vids, EVERYTHING is shotgun and it's plays that don't take 5-7 seconds to develop. Joe looks very smooth running it with quick decisions and gets the ball out immediately, but that's against mostly air. We'll see how that translates to game time. But it's gotta help the OL...the very scheme.
Pretty sure we agreed broken ankles have nothing to do with conditioning. Did you see Kardell when he got to LSU in the spring and then in fall camp? Quite certain Moffit was working out just fine for him. Shelvin and Ika lost the equivalence of an average adult male between them. Moffit doing work. K'lavon comes back from ACL looking like a beast. This is the best conditioning I've seen at LSU in years. You like to tout your "opinion" but base it on zero facts. Facts will kick an opinions ass every time.
While the S&C coach stuff may be up for debate the lack of recruiting surely cannot. We signed what 3 with this last class, one of which is now on the shelf and not many on the list for 20. WTF O?
And most of what we signed are guards. We're pretty good at guard. I doubt Kardell would've played more than the 4 max games for redshirt. He was 3rd in line for LG. But I wish someone would step up at tackle. We need at least Dumerville in this class. I'm no big O fan, although he's doing better than I suspected he would. But he has rebuilt the DL. It's hard to rebuild BOTH lines at the same time. But yeah, focus HAS to be on the OL now and at least thru 2021 class
Injuries happen and conditioning and rehab are important. Moffitt may be great at conditioning but maybe has fallen behind the times on the strength side.
