He was successful until he wasn't and then he kept on doing it. If there aren't any QB's in Louisiana sign a couple from out of state. Rohan Davey was from Miami. Matt Mauck was from Indiana. JaMarcus Russell was from Alabama. Matt Flynn was from Texas.
Out of 11 full seasons we had --eight 10 plus winning ones. (I'm counting 2015 we would have beat McNeese) Went to two national championships and won one. No coach in the history of LSU has done better. He was PRETTY DAMN successful! He did pretty well drafting QB's from other states, and got the only 2 four stars out of Louisiana. I really believe Harris, Jefferson, Jennings and Lee were below average QB's. The ones that transferred did not do well elsewhere. It would not have mattered who would have coached them, they just had the deer in the headlight mentality. Mettenberger, Etling, Flynn and Russell were above average. Not all were brought in by Miles, but they all developed pretty well under his leadership. None of the QB's had a losing season! If you want Alabama success. We need to get rid of the Saints and the Pelicans, and have all our money go through boosters to the 5 star recruits throughout the country. Saban never was as good as he has been when given the best talent in the country. Kids do not drool to go live in Alabama --- they get paid!!!!!!
this... dude rushed for 1400 yds while still splitting time toting the rock... people act like we had scrubs at running back...
