Special teams have underperformed the last few years under Peveto. I hope the new guy gets a handle on this quickly. It could cost us a couple of games this year.

I think we have the offensive game that will prevent poor field position when we punt, more so then not. Penalties and not outrunning the punt reception will dictate that stance. Colt David will do the rest should there be bad red zone play. We will have to convert on turnovers. These elements can help balance a learning quarter back.

Its hard to believe we will have a true freshman starting at CB. Peterson must be all-world.

how did Cutrera do in the scrimmage? I remember seeing where someone (maybe bhelm or izzy?) said he had been performing well lately.

He is doing good but news on him slowed a bit after he had a shoulder injury. I think he played yesterday and is back to normal. Clair has mentioned that he will get significant playing time this year because he is the backup at all 3 LB spots.

    Remember LaRon Landry?

Starting safety as a true freshman.

Yeah, this Peterson kid is similar to him in terms of being ready.

A poor kicking game is the last thing we need with inexperienced QB's. A good punter sure would be nice to have to help those guys with field position.
