    RM - 10.2 yards/carry
    SR - 4 yards/carry
    MF - 7.4 yards/carry

    This is promising.

    looks good to me

    run the ball

    stop the run

let the run set up our passing game

it's called basic football and it wins!!!

As much as I love analyzing this stuff to the nth degree (and often do), I'd just like to say to the clock...

    HURRY

    THE

    HELL

    UP!!!

Let's see what all this means with powder blue goat boys across the line of scrimmage!!!

    :geauxtige

Oh...and why didn't Miles let Sheppard get more receptions?

I am sure that Murphy is relieved to finally be scrimmaging. He has been held back a long time. Lots to prove.

    On Shepard:

He has been dealing with hip soreness from a hip pointer but he played throughout the entire scrimmage.

He had a few catches but like many of the players with no stats posted his weren't either.

Miles seems to be a little secretive about him compared to others. He was asked directly if Shep got any direct snaps and Miles dodged that one.

    On the QBs:

We don't know who exactly threw what except for the ones reported. But JJ and Lee both played with the 1s and 2s but JJ got the majority of the 1s. So we can't assume that any passes and/or TDs, INTs came from.

#1 Defense was pretty solid compared to the 2nd team but JJ lead the 1st team O vs the 1st team D on the 70 yard drive and TD to TT.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm not really seeing this as evidence that the offense is clicking. They said that the offense worked largely in tight and red zone possessions. It's pretty easy to score when you start in the red zone. The 65-yd drive is nice to hear, though. Not saying we're not doing well, just don't look too far into the inflated TDs.

Maybe I'm late on the ball, but I haven't found anything on him anywhere... What's up with Eugene? All I keep hearing is about Hatcher and Loston in terms of FS.

That is understood in scrimmages and situational work. Have to take bits and pieces as info as regards to progress based on reports.

Eugene is the starter as of now over Loston. A little ahead mentally and one of the leaders of the defense up to this point. We will see a lot of Eugene, Loston, and Hatcher this season. Taylor has the other safety spot locked up.

Thanks. I hadn't heard anything on him in a while; I didn't know if he was injured or not. This is good to hear though, I love Eugene's speed and tackling ability.
