I am pretty sure I saw Stinchcomb back on the field in the 4th quarter, unless he got hurt really late. Ellis looked hurt pretty badly with a ankle/foot injury of some sort.
Stinchcomb did return to the game. Ellis injury was initially diagnosed as a sprained knee. No word yet today...Payton's normal Monday press conference was moved to tomorrow.
As do I. Clancy is already gone. I love Hargrove's enthusiasm and energy, but he's not a run stuffer. I worry about our ability to stop the run if Ellis is out for any extended time.
I really hope we do not lose Ellis for to long. We really need him coming into these division games. Atlanta has, Turner who is one heck of a running back to stop and Carolina has Willams and Stewart.Another couple of tough backs to stop.
Heath Evans done for the year: ACL Excite - Sports News Ellis just has a sprained knee according to this. We need to stay away from these serious injury bugs to stay on top.
technically an "ACL" is a "sprain", too, so Ellis' injury is not simple. The degree of sprain is what differentiates. If HEvans is out for the year with an ACL, it means the sprain is to the level that surgery is needed. Ellis' will hopefully just require some time, but once you sprain a knee, it takes a while to be truly back to normal.
He's a HUGE part of the running game. Dude is like a freakin bulldozer out there with the blocks. I hope for this best with Evans. And Ellis is a big loss, too. I'm hoping for the best for both of em Saintslogo
