Dugas worked out at the #1 FB, T-Bob at the #1 center, DA Peterson at the #1 TE, Levingston at the #1 DE and Jones at #1 FS.

Also read a couple of reports that said Lee looked the best at QB. Said Jefferson and Shepard were having release and accuracy issues. Said Garrett looked very solid.

I don't expect that to continue - I'm sure they'll take turns having off days.

But it brings up an interesting thought.

What happens if Lee continues to have the best practices? Does the staff go with Jefferson, even if Lee looks better in practice?

Also, one of the reports said that Shep looked short. But the video shows him next to Jefferson and he looks every bit of 6-1. Dunno.

    Interesting position changes:

    DeAngelo Peterson = TE
    Will Blackwell = C
Kevin Minter = OLB, not MLB

FS = Chad Jones, Danny McCray, Ryan St. Julian
SS = Harry Coleman, Karnell Hatcher, Derrick Bryant

Calhoun is being tried out at CB, not WR.

D.Peterson will make a great TE very athletic kinda of like Ingram for Florida and Gresham for Oklahoma if he learns how to block mannn....

Kevin Minter at OLB is a lil surprising but that just says how fast and good he can cover

We've seen enough on the Lee experiment. Shep or Jeff

I don't know what went down today, but I do know for a fact that the "reports" are based off of 15 minutes of warm up drills. Not live action. Just the first part of practice.

So I always take these with a grain of salt.

But back to the question, Lee would have to destroy Jefferson in practice for me to give him the nod. If it's even close, JJ gets the call. He is a gamer, Lee can't perform under pressure consistently.

until jarrett Lee redeems himself, I vote that he always be referred to as
Jarrett "pick six" Lee or JPSL

i can go with a 2qb system-- hell even a three-- can you imagine how difficult it would be to study a 3 qb offense-- obviously if lee is in there he's either oign to pass or it will be a run-- but damn--- triple threat QB!

    SKIPPY

    cant f'n wait!

I'm over the multi-QB idea. Personally, I think there's enough talent there to pick one and go. Use the 4th quarter in the easy OOC games to groom the #2 guy in case #1 doesn't work out.

JJ should get the start if it's at all close, and I'm sure he will. But stand by - Lee's neither a quitter or a loser. I have a feeling he's going to make all you Lee-haters very upset. I really can't believe how many folks on this and other boards get offended by the notion that Lee could earn the starting job back.

And I recognize the reports are based on 20 mins of drills. Just made me think - Lee has excellent mechanics and is one year more mature than JJ. So maybe he'll practice better, at least for awhile (remember - JJ didn't really practice with the big boys most of last fall - he ran the scout team if I understand correctly).

Miles faces a huge challenge this year. Need more development at QB, rebuild the D, and the players have to step up, last years team seemed to lack player leadership. There was a lot wrong, and there is much to do to get back. Article mentioned LaFell, Kelvin Sheppard and Black as leaders. We need somebody to step up, set the goal, and hold people accountable to do what it takes to meet the goal. Win the west, win the SEC, and play a BCS bowl. Not saying we do it coming off 7-5, but ya gotta set your goals high. The west is within our reach.
