What is Les better at than Nick Saban regarding coaching?

    Building a program, no.

    Maintaining, no.

    Adapting, no.

    Gameplanning, no.

    In-game adjustments, no.

    Developing players, no.

    Recruiting, no.

    Head to head, no.

    Championships, no.

Im having a hard time choosing the guy with all the nos as our greatest coach.

I agree with everything you said here, however I'd take Miles over Saban as best LSU because of longevity. Part of Saban's time here wasn't quite as successful as the first half of Miles tenure. OVerall coaching resume is not even close, Saban owns Miles which in large part is why he will probably be let go.

longevity? Measure of a coach is if the program is better condition than when you took over. Id say its almost the same with Miles if you count recruiting. Depth, talent, ranking no.
Depth is shit on LB, DL. Special teams suck. Offense sucks. Defense sucks. Out of top 25 again. Was top 5 year 1 for Les I believe preseason.

Head to head doesn't apply. I'm only interested in comparing who coached the LSU tigers better.

Maintaining? Saban left after five short years. I'll take Les and give Nick an 'incomplete'. His last year was so-so.

Recruitng? Les is top five most years.

Development? LSU has the most NFL dudes. Probably less than five were at LSU back in 2004.

Perseverance, character, loyalty, personality. All Les.

If you take Saban's success at his new school out of the equation and just compare what each guy did at LSU, I'll take Miles.

Would Nick Saban's Tigers be in a tailspin after his hypothetical 11th year at the helm? I don't know, and neither do you because he bitched out.

For anyone to say with a straight face they'd take Miles over Saban is clueless.

I've never seen anyone with as much talent as LSU has underachieve as much as Miles has.

The only thing Miles does better than Saban is look like a complete dipshit when asked a simple question.

Leslie couldn't even be a oline coach at this point. And that was his roots.

recruiting-bama has been ranked 1 every season since he returned almost. and since we recruit head to head for the exact same players, thats how you determine who is better.

perserverance, character, loyalty, personality dont make you a better coach. Belichick and saban are shitty people but the tops of their profession proves this in spades. Plus they're intangibles which arent measurable even if saban was a saint.

Saban is a program builder and elite coach. Les is simply not. He couldnt even maintain what he had.

If that's directed at me, I'm not saying I'd choose Miles over Saban. I'm saying that if you compare accomplishments and tenure as coach of LSU, Miles is the guy.

Saban is also a better coach than the current Michigan State coach. But that guy is a better Michigan State coach in my opinion.

You're still bringing up Bama stuff. We're having different arguments. I'm only interested in making the comparison of the two guys coaching LSU.
