Correct me if I'm wrong but miles still has the SECOND most wins in LSU history not first. Yes miles is/was a good coach. I contend this is not even the same miles we had 5-6 years ago. Now he is castrated shell of his former self. I hope he rides off into the sunset tonight. Thanks for the high blood pressure les.
Lots of links to tweets etc quoting Fisher as saying he's not interested in the LSU job circulating the interwebs. Smokescreen? Deal fall apart? If not Fisher......?
You know there were also a lot of great moments in the last 11 years. The 2007 Florida game was one of the greatest football games played in Tiger Stadium. Sorry you missed the joy. For clarity, you say we didn't deserve the NC spot because we lost on last game - so which one of the 6 teams that also lost their last game would you have given that spot to? Keeping in mind that they need the same miracle. But glad you made the game, who were you rooting for?
Do I need to dig up the famous "I will not be the next coach at Alabama" Saban interview? Nothing said on the record means anything until you see the introduction presser.
I was at that Florida game too. I didn't say those other 6 teams deserved it. The top two ranked teams both lost on the same day. If they both win their games, neither LSU nor Ohio St are in the NC game. LSU needed a miracle that last weekend to get to the NC game and they got it. That's a fact, not an opinion. And of course I pulled for LSU. Just because I didn't like the coach doesn't mean I don't like the team and I'm not a true fan.
Far more impressed with the guy who inherited a three loss team and won the west twice in three years, two bcs bowls and a NC while losing no more than two games. Far more impressed with the guy who saw his team encounter difficulty and bounced back with the 2011 season. Far more impressed with the guy who didn't use our school as a stepping stone after getting a private jet handjob from a Miami billionaire. It's ending badly, as it tends to do in this profession. So, agree to disagree on who really coached LSU better. I can't call a guy with a 5 year sample size and bailing on the job "the best."
Meanwhile Nick's gonna hoist another NC trophy with a Jake fuckin Coker at QB... Miles is CUSA material...
Was that the same guy who coached the #6 ranked team to only 7 points of offense and a 2 score home loss to an unranked and over-matched Ron Zook coached Florida team?
