also, i don’t think we completely suck. i saw spots that are very promising just need a touch of improvement
Agreed. A scared QB rarely turns that corner. He can throw and he can read the defense but the footsteps tune out that internal tick-took. He deserves a chance to work it out but you can’t coach fortitude into someone. There’s a difference in being afraid of getting hit and not wanting to take a hit. He looked scared. Hope I’m wrong. Otherwise, Fla and Bama will feast on him and that line. Fuck Auburn. They ain’t gonna do shit.
I think it's too early to be calling Miss St just a middle of the pack SEC team, we've been criticizing our guys and not giving any credit to Moo U, they've got a really good coach and a QB who looked world class to me. I don't think we 're the only highly ranked team that are going to get rolled by those guys.
was meaning from a talent standpoint. they are not on same talent level as: Bama, LSU, Auburn, UGA, Florida, or even A&M. that’s 6 of the 14 teams in the conference. Middle of pack. WE under achieved yesterday. plain and simple. we out talent them at every single position. even with all the defections and guys missing yesterday. we’ve got 9 more games to prove that this was an anomaly. or that it wasn’t.
I don't think he was so much afraid of getting hit but that he was tentative and indecisive. Despite his decent stats he only complete 2 of 7 passes over 10 yards. Instead of calling those 5 second plays E should be calling plays from Joe Brady's playbook. 2 seconds and BOOM! the ball is out of his hands on a timing route. It's obvious that Brennan isn't going to beat anybody with his feet but neither could Tom Brady or Dan Marino. If he can;t rectify those mistakes by the next 2 games then put the ball in either Johnson's or Finley's hands and live or die with it
Ya know, I feel like Leach would have beat MOOU if he and O switched sidelines. Out coached big time.
Held the ball too long; stats to prove it... https://twitter.com/codyworsham/status/1310253357114720256?s=21
I’m not sure some of the plays called weren’t the quick pass variety. It seems Brennen was waiting for the receiver to be open rather than anticipating and/or throwing them open. I think not having played significant snaps in 4 years showed. Whether he has the ability to adjust only time will tell. Unfortunately everything I’ve seen doesn’t make me optimistic. He could be serviceable but not a game winner.
