I'm hoping it won't be. I had actually forgotten that there was no spring camp and I think that showed. They looked really out of sync.
Patrick Queen: https://twitter.com/Patrickqueen_/status/1310010156831379456?s=20 "LSU offense isn’t the problem. 34 points with whole new starters!" (Actually it was 27; the defense added a TD.)
Brennan seems afraid to take a hit. We’ll never get a running game going if there is no threat of the QB pulling the ball back and taking off himself. He can’t run the spread offense.
I didn’t think he was terrible, and he did do enough to when despite the work he has left to do. Offense could have been better in consistency but defense layed an egg.
There's no doubt Brennan has to get better. I just don't understand why some of you seem to think he can't get better.
Brennan is in the same place Burrow was in 2018. He is entering the season with a questionable assortment of starters, a (essentially) new OC, and no Spring practice. Expect this season to be a reflection of that year. LSU will find its footing as the year goes and will set up for a strong 2021.
Burrow completed just 45% of his passes in his first LSU start, but the defense kept Miami mostly in check that night.
Can E coach a QB or did Brady do it all? Brennan looked clueless. Why didn’t he get more play time last year?
