He done as good a job as anyone this year on Evans, some seem to forget, he had to get cleared before coming to LSU, missed a bunch of time. Evans is gonna have problems in the Pros if he doesn't learn how to play real football.

Considering Alabama has some hardware to justify the salaries at that school, I don't think I am out of line having high expectations of our staff. We don't pay pennies at LSU. Who is talking about slowing down little Johnny? I am confused. I said I was happy with the win. I also believe that Alabama skated with a victory as well. As far as the staff at Florida, aren't they are on the hot seat for not performing at a high level? At no point did I complain about the win I just stated I think we should have the high expectations.

Every school has whiners (or people who see things in a more complex way than W/L). There is still no doubt that we have as many "maybe next season" years as Saban has NCs. A win against Bama in the NC would have mucho changed the landscape between Miles and Saban.

    THAT SAID...
A&M was a hell of a win and we have a chance to end 2013 on a positive note (which didn't seem possible a week ago). This win breathes a lot of hope into 2014 for me. If 2014 is another "maybe next year" then I think the argument that Miles isn't meeting our potential is stronger than ever.

I expect to win out or at least have two solid games and will be disappointed with Less.

Agreed. Maybe before I kick the bucket in the next 40-50 years I will get to see a full year of great offensive and defensive efforts with the big payday at the end. Whether I do or don't I will always be a Tiger.

The staff has been doing their jobs, I see part of what your saying. Call it what you want, but the staff has been doing what they can with this defense, you do know a&m returned more players on the defensive side of the ball than LSU. RR had to be cleared before getting to LSU, he handled Evan as good as anyone this year.
True Freshman Rasharh Robinson started his first game as an LSU Tiger on Saturday against A&M. Robinson is now the 15th first time starter for the Tigers this year and the third true freshman to crack the starting lineup in 2013. Yes this has been a work in progress.

LSU hung with bama till the end of the third quarter, then depth took over. Call it what you want, but I do see this staff doing what is needed, the other part is recruiting, an for that, they too are earning their pay. If you coach at LSU, you have "high expectations" is comes with the territory, always has, always will. Fans same thing.

I agree, I look for another 10 win season........to add.....

LSU has won eight games or more for 14 years in a row now. That's the longest streak in the country. No other team in the country, yep, LSU ONLY........

Staffs all over the country make similar money, and very, very few have had similar success. Hopefully we'll have even more success in the coming years including a few sec championships and a ticket to the final four.

Which is almost as good as NCs. I hear what you're saying, and it's good, but if we make a habit of coming in second to bama it's just a consolation prize.

This boils down to some of us wanting to strive for the best while others are more buddhic about the whole thing. As long as miles can keep up the success rate, not winning NCs won't be an issue for enough people.

I guess too much success can make it taste less sweet.

I think maybe we should just move to the Big 12 conference and beat the living shit out of Baylor and Oklahoma State, so we can hear the "oh we shouldn't have left the SEC, we want bama"......we could be the Oregon of the Midwest.
