The you know the rest was, "in a conference as good as the SEC?" Thats where bob falls short, real short, among other things.

Ok, lets go 13 years, like Mark Richt, know his winning %? Yep, he too falls short of Les. Mark is under 75%. Some forget Mark had those seasons, you know, below .500, the 8-5, etc.

    I wasn't rick rolling anything.

Question, do you know the lyrics to the song?

Thread title "To every that wants Les Miles fired"

Song: "Never gonna give up on you!"

"I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling!!!"

It just happened this video has a recurring internet theme.

Look. For you and all those others, I am not saying Les Miles is a bad coach or that he should be fired. OK? I have said this a number of times.

Frankly with the talent LSU has, there are a number of coaches that I firmly believe could have done just as good as Miles or better.

All things equal, same players same everything blah blah im going with a bus load that could have done better. Its all hypothetical mish mash cause LSU is tied to him for a while. That means we can either start this thread every year or just keep this one going and see how long we can make it because the blunders will not stop.

But you can't separate Miles and the players. Recruiting might actually be more important than coaching in cfb. LSU has never had as many good football players over and extended period of time as we've had to past ten years. And you have to give Miles credit for most of them. And many of them have come from out of state.

It isn't close to a given that another coach would have gotten any of the out of state guys nor as many of the instate players Miles has reeled in.

A few people keep referencing that our recruiting has gone down but I just don't see it that way, we have tons of great athletes/players on the roster and will likely bring in one of the best classes ever this Feb. Do we have some holes on the roster right now, yes we do, but I believe those holes will be filled by both new recruits and players that will develope by next year.

Yea, like Muschamp, hes been here at LSU, knows the area, what about him, hes doing great at Fla, er, wait, never mind. Look at some of the coaches over the years just in the SEC during the nine years Les has been here, Mike Sula, Lame Kiffin, The O, Nutt, Petrino, Chizik, Croom, Dooley, Joker Phillips. Look at some of the coaches hired this pass off season. In the SEC, its not an easy job, too many things going on, way too many. Just the way it is. Dan Hawkins and Dennis Franchione two of the hotter names a few years ago, where are they now? Be thankful you have Les, could be worse, a lot worse. Like I say, thin line from the hot coach to the hot seat.

Remember this, both Jimbo and Muschamp are first time head coaches, whos doing the better job? Both have good schools, in the same state.

Muschamp is not a good coach. Period. You are trying to make something out of nothing.

Further people like Kiffin are getting showed up by Coach O..
