Ya'll are right. Les Miles is the absolute best LSU can do. I hope he stays until he dies because we will never experience good times. It is so difficult to beat 1 team with a winning record a year. How lucky we are....

I will call for Les' head when 2 of 2 things happen. 3 straight seasons of medoicrity a drastic and continuing downward trend in recruiting. I think Miles can get us there as long as we have exceptional coaches on offense and defense and special teams.

9 years of ten win seasons, a NC a second NCCG, 2 or 3 SECC, the top winning record. I would say we have done pretty well with him as HC. Is he your god Nicky....not really if your only measure is winning NCs by hook or crook or talent I admit. However to dump on him as so many have is the whiney crying of spoiled children.
Briles' age would be a concern. Ideally, you would want to find a coach in his early-mid 40's who could do a good job. A David Shaw (I couldn't see him leaving California and his alma mater for BR) or a Pat Fitzgerald (he's also at his alma mater in a great metropolis; but the winters there are awful, so who knows?)
