Obviously Cam is here because of Miles. Miles needs to let him do his thing. If not, you will see the same crap from before, which will mean a less productive offense, which could be an issue when trying to recruit.
I would not get rid of chavis. The defense is in a rebuilding year and everyone wants to throw him under the bus. I still think he's the best DC in the country.
So I was wrong about Lafell and Rettig. But there were others who were Saban recruits, which had nothing to do with the discussion. Your coach is costing LSU some players in recruiting, you may start to see it more as time goes on.
That is cute to say, but few programs land top in state recruits like LSU does. Even OSU who competes, against no other major in state schools lands only about 60% of their top in state guys. Other regional powers beat them out regularly. You can count the top Louisiana recruits miles missed on one hand, and three of those guys (G Robinson, T Reed, and J McKnight) weren't very big misses in retrospect.
When you use the words, Maybe, Probably and Circumstances, it looks more of guessing on your part. But I'll stay with you on this, just a guess but Pocic might have wanted to stay in state, but for the second year in a row, Les looks to be pulling in the best player in that state. Signing day is in Feb. every year, still have a ways to go but it's looking very good. LSU got a couple great high school player already signed. As for the offense, Krags was hired, Les had his man and LSU was to be in great shape. Once his health problems hit, Les went outside of football. This is one thing I really like about him. My coaching friends said Krags was to be rehired by A&M an move up in the staff. Krags took a year off to help with his wife's health problems. Like I said when these things came into play, Les thought outside the box. An like I said before, a good coaching friend of mine has a great job, but when an opening hits at LSU his name goes into the pot. Coaches like working with Les, are paid well and too many pluses with LSU. LSU is one of the more stable programs in college football an looks to stay that way. Since you brought up nick, it's known, work for him a couple years, pad your résumé and move on. Some can't make a year, some can't make a couple months, we had one here at LSU when nick was coach, remember that guy?
It was an issue, we just signed the top QB in the state and one of the top in the nation, there you go again with those kind of words, "could be an issue."
