Who developed Johnny? Sumlin didn't even recruit the kid. Further, Players like RG3 have that sixth sense. SO yea, those QB's would do well anywhere. Unless you are trying to tell me they aren't GREAT talents.

Further, Jimbo has had more than a SINGLE good season. He has also coached here at LSU before..... Not sure how you concluded I compared him to Saban. My statement was very clear in my opinion of who is 2nd best.......

Briles is just Mike Leach, and June Jones, Sumlin etc...RG3, Nick Florence, Petty all have similar numbers, Graham Harrell, Cliff Kingsbury etc.... Timmy Chang, Colt Brennan... Case Keenum, Manziel....

It's that spread system... Insert anyone with an arm. Personally I hate that system.

Dude, Sumlin also has a pretty good track record of getting the most out of his QBs. Ever heard of Case Keenum? Further, a QB "doing well" elsewhere is not even close to "Heisman-caliber" at friggin' BAYLOR.

I didn't say "good"; I said "dominant", which he has not been until this year, which isn't even over yet.

    And?

That is pretty much the definition of comparing, and I think Jimbo has a long way to go before being considered the second best.

Well you know what they say about opinions....

I find it humorous though, the Art guy has been coaching a Baylor and is 41-30. So prior to RGIII and this new QB, what was the deal? 4-8, 4-8, 7-6 and then here comes RGIII and 10-3....

Not saying he isn't a good coach, but I think way to many people put faith in a coach to "coach" up a player when the reality is that a player is just damn good to begin with.

    He is 40 - 10 as a head coach. So that is .800. 80% ring a bell????? :)

Further, at LSU, our Offense seemed to do very well with him. Dont you remember his work with Rohan Davey???

Our offenses were run of the mill under Jimbo. I'd be more excited about Briles.

Here's a blast from the past. We hired Curley Freakin' Hallman because he'd beaten a couple of the big boys of college football in '90. His quarterback was Brett Favre.

THAT'S who beat the big boys of college football.

Ummm no, at one time Jimbo's Offenses set 13 LSU records at one point. Also under him, he got a lot out of our QB's.
