Parking will not be a problem. Bama has added several areas to park, however they are far away from the stadium, but we now have several shuttles that run very frequently. Park close to the softball field and take one of the shuttles to the stadium. THe shuttle will drop you off at the quad.
The Dreamland that was in Baton Rouge a few years ago had ribs that sucked, but they did have good burgers and a really good pulled pork sandwich. Also a good BBQ chicken sandwich. I did love their BBQ beans and I once bought a quart of their BBQ sauce.
They folded in less than 6 months. I think they would have made it if they had stuck it out for a year. The location was out-of-the-way and they didn't give themselves enough time to develop a clientele. The ribs weren't bad, but Dreamland ribs are "dry" ribs that you gnaw off the bone. T. J. Ribs has made "wet" ribs that fall off the bone very popular here.
i don't think that they could compete with TJ Ribs as far as turn-around and service is concerned. that place is managed extremely well. every time i've been there, i've been extremely impressed -- and that's mostly on game days too.
Bingo. City Cafe for breakfast. I'm not a big fan of Dreamland, the ribs are good but I want something besides a slice of white bread to go with them. The Bryant Museum is impressive.
Haha, I was about to say...a Dreamland in BR?! I never even knew it was there. I am much higher on T.J.'s.
There's a place on the strip that has awesome BBQ nachos and pulled pork sandwiches. No idea what the name of the place is, but it's like a concession stand on the street.
