Well, I'm in the Dreamland is overrated category, but there is an Irish pub near campus that I enjoy the hell out of . . . can't remember its name. Inniskilling or something.
Be sure to walk around the Quad. Tons of people drinking and cooking food. Take a look around the Bryant museum. The best eating in town is a little place in Northport called City Cafe. Gotta cross the river to get to it; the first exit, then hang a left. That puts you in downtown northport.
I can't remember exact details but I really enjoyed going two years ago. We parked in a grass lot on the edge of campus, think it was $5. Was great spot to tailgate and grill and plenty of lsu around us. Can't remember exactly where but I think it was near the track field and an arbys on a main campus road. I'm 99% sure your tickets will be in a bama section. We weren't within throwing distance of lsu fans last time and really enjoyed it; fans were very friendly. Only problem we had was at a smoking section and the bama fans that witnessed the situation backed our story to the cops. We didn't have any problems with open containers but I can't remember if we brought cups or were out of cans. Had no problem bringing it in either, must be easy because the bama fans on both sides of us had brought tons in too. Didn't do anything in t town, but the campus is really nice and there were a lot of things going on.
Thanks man, you know anything about the strip area? What bar or bars that normally have a lot of LSU fans?
Every bar will have LSU fans - just depends on the type of people you like to hang out with. Here is the parking information.
We didn't do the bar thing in tusc, was in bham on Friday and did tailgates after the game. Really don't know anything about the night life other than it ain't no Athens. Completely random but just saw you say you are staying in bham...when coming west on the interstate take the "to lsu-bama" sign. We went straight and hit a clusterf***. Turned around and it took us right to that grass lot I mentioned before. Have fun and geaux tigers!
Would peeing on a former LSU Head football Coaches car door break any laws? In my opinion that should be the number one thing on everyones to do when in Tuscaloosa. If of course there are no laws against that sort of thing.
I think if you did so within 500 feet of the stadium Louisiana laws would apply seeing how LSU has treated the place as home since 2001. Heck our in-state neighbors, ULM, spent a nice evening there in 2007.
