I saw several receivers open tonight and the ball was thrown in their vicinity but not close enough to catch. Am I dreaming this? I wasn't thrilled with the play calling but don't' try and tell me it was all the coaches fault unless I was dreaming what I thought I saw. Execution comes from the player's, not the coaches. If some of the throws would have been executed properly and the receiver would have caught the ball then some of those bad play calls would have turned into good or even great play calls.
It was a combination of poor play from the players and poor coaching. The point is that when your QB is obviously not coming close to any receivers anywhere on the field, you don't go and call three straight passes on multiple drives. That was insane. For the most part, receivers had no chances to catch the ball tonight.
This just in: To the clueless. After a WHOLE season ( see last year ) and a sparce few chances to redeem himself this year, NEWS FLASH: the jury is back...Verdict? Lee isnt talented. Im sure this busts many bubbles and no doubt he should study whatever he is studying to be something else, ANYTHING ELSE cause QBing isnt going to get it for him. I am sure he is a great kid who loves animals, nothing personal. I cant play QB either, the difference is, the coaches would recognize it in me alot sooner. Well You would think anyway. maybe not... ok that is a scary thought.
He evidentally can throw a ball far, but has no target. I was at the game, and alot of his throws, looked like he was throwing to the fans. Instead of tucking the ball and running, he either took a sack or threw it away. Grow some fricking balls. I completely agree that Shepard shouldve taken more snaps and maybe we wouldve had more points against a team like Louisiana Tech. Lets all just hope JJ will be back next week, because he will at least attempt to be a quarterback.ldskule:
Lee the QB is not a SEC looking QB! He does not handle any type pressure at all. His football IQ seems to be low! He makes to many bad throws per game and compared to JJ right now he looks awful! I thought Lee would have a good game last night! - wrong I thought we would run all over tech - wrong I thought Crowton would come out with a base power running game - wrong I thought our Run D would shut down Tech - wrong not a happy Tiger this morning!!! looking forward to the Saints game!!lefire:
As I watched the game with JL fans, subsequently JJ haters, I tried to tell them that there were several reason why Lee doesn't start regularly. Unlike the first nine games, they listened last night:shock:
The issue now is not whether anyone wants Jefferson on the bench. He is because he is hurt. It is the coaching staff's responsibility to have another plan when someone at any position goes down or gets kicked off the team. This coaching staff has not and does not have plan as evidenced by last night. I'm not sure how anyone takes any comfort from LaTech going forward without seeing the real possibility of Lee having to play again or Jefferson having to play before he is healed and losing both games.!twocrystals!
LSU was ranked #103 in total offense before last night's game. That's not JLs fault. That's not JJs fault. LSU consistently recruits Top 10/Top 5 talent year in and year out yet our offensive production ranks lower than Temple. That's GCs fault and as head man CLMs fault.
