Those on here for the last 2 weeks ranting: Take a breath. Remember 2001? I remember that we were not impressive at all, starting out. We lost to Tennesee (26-18), Fla (44-15) and beating a bad (2-7) Kentucky team 29-25. I remember being glad that our game against Auburn was moved to the end of the year due to 9-1-1 because we were going to get skulldrugged. We improved all year, went 10-3, SEC champs. So chill out, it's early. Let's see what happens.
I think Tiger420 might appreciate a slightly different buzz inducer. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
Remember after baseball season and Omaha...remember how everyone could not wait for football season to start...remember the threads around here like the one about the croc shoes...remember counting down the days till football season kicked off (30,29,28,27...days till UW game) I guess this doom and gloom is what we were waiting for :nope:. My name is Steve and I'm a zombie just pumpin' some sunshine up yo a$$.
No, islstl. Yeah, the guy's OP wasn't that great... but people don't like hearing all these psycho-negative people that have lost all faith (like you act at times). Do you like having negative people in your life that always bring you down?
I don't act like anything. I just speak the truth. I hope to hell we win versus Georgia and will be rooting til the final gun on Saturday. The realist in me says the coaching staff hasn't done a good enough job to prepare this team to win on the road in Athens at this point in the season, even as mediocre as Georgia has been playing. I hope they prove me wrong. Really wrong.
The problem is, John, that now...anytime someone says the running game sucks...they're considered negative...less of a fan...whatever. - Guess what...the running game SUCKS...large. The OL has been a HUGE letdown. The defense started off really sloppy...but is improving it seems. But there hasn't been ANY sign of improvement in the OL...and subsequently...the running game. That's not chicken little...that's reality. - Common sense dictates that...based on overall better talent all the way around, we have been able to win the first 4 games against subpar competition. (Yes, even though UDub beat USC...they are in fact subpar competition...as evidenced by them getting mashed by Stanford) Common sense also dictates that...as we approach the meat of the schedule...without having seen improvement in this VERY important aspect of the game...we've got reason to worry. - Again...I don't agree AT ALL that Miles should "move on"...even if we go 7-5 again. But don't throw everyone into one group. Some are in fact overly negative...but as many or more are overly full of #$%& if they think everything is hunky dory. ***disclaimer*** I hope and PRAY I get to eat crow after this week...and especially after NEXT week. But be honest...do you think I will have to? FWIW, I picked the Tigers to go 10-2...truly thinking 9-3 is possible. Right now, I think 9-3 is possible...but on the high end instead of the low end. 8-4 looks a lot more likely...but I don't see 7-5.
Actually, I'm down with talking about how the oline and dline and running game is not that good. It's just that it's on every thread now. The problem is not saying what the problems are (that make sense?) The biggest thing, is people coming in and saying this team is the worst in years, we'll lose the rest of the games this year, and then lose all the games next year and the year after that. No one offers any gosh damn insight, with the exception of a few. I don't pump sunshine about the slow play, but I'm not gonna sit here and degrade the coaches and players because we look sluggish. And I agree that all the "Stop being so pissy" threads are annoying. But if the negatigers post, the positigers rant back. I for one, just enjoy game day. Suck it UGA
Hey, azzhat. Did you know that you aren't a true tiger fan unless this is your avatar? You chicken little, you.
