Never in my life have I ever seen so much whining and crying about an undefeated team. Are you serious? I mean what is with the Chicken Little syndrome? The OL isn't blocking, our offense isn't putting up 50 points a game and blowing out the competition week after week, our defense bends but doesn't break, our running backs aren't carving up 200 yards per game, Jarett Lee came in and threw a couple of touchdowns, we wore purple jerseys at home, that guys shoes didn't match, our Golden Girls aren't as pretty as when Satan was here. I mean every day I come out here it's a different crying game. Would I like to see blow outs by our offense and shut outs by our defense every game? Sure! That just aint going to happen. Talent levels in College Football are better than they have ever been in the game's history. So can we take a more realistic approach, get over it and move on? Did you really wait the last 8 months so that you could p*ss and moan for an entire season. There is a lot to enjoy and if you've got your head down you are going to miss it all. And one more thing ... How do you repay loyalty? With a knife? Do you remember sitting and holding your breath while the rumors were flying about Les Miles departing for Michigan? Do you remember that man standing before everyone on National Television and killing his shot at his dream job and professing his dedication to this team? How many of you would make the same sacrifice? That alone should buy the man your respect and your loyalty in return. I'm sure that the man's football knowledge and talent far exceeds anyone on this board. If it didn't, you too would be standing on a sideline collecting multi million dollar checks. I trust and believe that this is the right coach, we have the right staff and we have the talent to get the job done. I also believe that there is a plan and an approach and that it will pay off. I also have an even greater respect for the entire staff who is weathering this storm with a goal and path to that goal in mind and they are dedicated to the course even though it is unpopoular. Finally, I feel for the players who have to listen to their fan base which is supposed to be known as one of the most loyal in the nation talking about how bad they are and how bad their coaches are when all they have done is win. This team is growing and developing and they are a damn fine team. Whether you want to believe it or not. Flame me, trash me, drag me through the mud. I am standing as a loyal supporter of this coach, this team and everything they are. This a program to be proud of yesterday, today and always. These Tigers will roar and you can bank on it. Now put the towels down and get on your feet! :geaux:
I was hoping someone would start another thread like this...:rolleye33: No less ridiculous than the ones you're complaining about.
We need more like this...I'm tired of the negative outnumbering the positive 2-1. Until we play a terrible game and lose I have no issues. We have yet to play to our potential and are 4-0. Wait for it...
I like the post! This team has room to improve, and I think they know it. They have talent and seem to work hard. They are 4-0. Agree with Tiger420 nobody wanted to see Les leave on the morning before the SECCG, how about returning a little loyalty! The sky is not falling.
But the "chicken littles" is a little overblown. I agree that the thread...THE thread about wanting Les gone is stupid. But you know what? Now everytime someone says ANYTHING that isn't "LSU Football is perfect in every facet of the game...just wait"...they're called chicken littles, less of a fan, blah blah blah. Not saying the sky IS falling...just saying, it's OK to discuss realistically on this friggin' DISCUSSION BOARD...even if it ain't all rosy.
