Once Chavis let the defense loose in the 2nd half vs WKU, the honey badger was back at it making life miserable for the opposing offense. He was everywhere, as usual.
b_leblanc said it best...above. I also noted a change in his attitude. I love his attitude and his ability to get inside the receiver's head. What I didn't like was his apparent selfishness and letting the team down (especially with that spice BS last month). I quit following him on twitter because of the stuff he was saying. I also thought he was headhunting in the Bama game and he cost us with that penalty...OBJ was really ticked at him for that. It really does look like Miles got to him and I hope he just focuses on his play when he's in the game and he puts the team first when he's off the field. He even looked subdued in the WKU game. I hope he hasn't lost his swag...and look forward to his smack during the game. It's part of his game. Just don't be selfish TM. He'll be allright....what a player !!!
On the comments section of the article there was plenty of references to lsu as the new Miami and thug u. Boy that sucks.
That's what happens when you are legit. Tons of student athletes get suspended for things way worse than what TM7 did, but he is an amazing football player, on an amazing team, so people hate him.
Hope he comes around, great football player, one thing to remember: One "aw sheet" negates "25 attaboys!"
I don't really understand why AU got a pass on the dirty plays last year. We are as far from Miami as far as thugs go as we can be. Now, when it comes to dominating, if we win the NC, we will be like them in that respect! For you youngsters: Miami won 3 NC's in the 1980's.
I don't think it's so much the dirty plays (which really, have we had many this year that can be classified as such? We're certainly not on the level of AU and Fairley.) but all of the off-the-field stuff going on (allegedly getting into bar brawls, suspensions of some of our star players, failed drug tests, etc.) that people are talking about when they compare us to Thug U. TM7 happened to be the player who failed a drug test, got suspsended, and then made a "dirty play", so of course he's the 'Perfect Storm of Thug' to other fans. He's also one of the most dominant forces on our "nasty" defense, so of course everyone else is predisposed to dislike him. Or fear him, whichever. And while I know we're not yet at Thug U's level, I sure hope we don't get there in the future if our players continue making poor choices.
