Nice of Les to be able to change his perspective on such a monumental decision. Not many in that profession would admit to it being a 'mistake'. god if he had only kept him. Im appreciative as fuck to have witnessed and realized greatness when i saw it. but man i wanted another year to see mathieu develop further. but ive made peace with that. like you, im worried about 2 acl injuries ruining his chance at greatness. and of course not allowing me to see it. tough for all but especially small guys to stay healthy much less one who plays like he does.
Wasn't letting go of Tyrann actually an administrative decision due to school rules and Les had no say? Wise of him to say it was a mistake, though. Good public relations.
How much credit should Patrick Peterson get for his role in helping TM get his life turned around. I'm sure his getting kicked off the team was a wake up call too. Like every other LSU fan I hated not seeing him play one more season for us, but in the big picture it may have been one of the best things to happen to him.
a good bit but the discipline and responsibility fell on one person's shoulders. glad they got to work it out together.
