The only reason those are bad memories because outside of Perrilloux, those other QB's weren't any good.
17/21 256 2 TD throwing 1 TD rushing 1 INT 1st game out the box vs SEC team. Dude never looked clueless once.
The bigger question is how bad is Brennan's injury. Is it only a one game recovery or will he be out multiple games? If he's out for the next several games, then it's over for him. If he is back next week and lights up Auburn, then cool. Welcome back. But if he doesn't, then these new QB's should be given the chance. We aren't winning anything this year. 2020 is a 10 game practice season for next year. Now's the time to take some chances without the fear of failure. This year is a free year for all players. Play everyone and see how it shakes out.
All I am saying, is either TJ is a HUGE LSU boy or one of these kids transfers out to play. Brennan is coming back next year to start for LSU or going to a different team.
There is going to be great debate on this all week. I’m not all in on either side yet but I want to point out a few things. 1st off, we had a pick six, a kick return for TD, a dropped TD by South Carolina and 3 missed FG’s that absolutely helped both our game plan tonight and took pressure off Finley. Now, with that said, there will still be the argument on who the better QB is, who the most deserving is, etc. What about, who puts LSU in a better situation to win? A lot will be said about our running game tonight. Well, it’s a lot easier to get your running backs going when the defense has to account for a QB run too. With Myles in, there is NO read option and defenses will sell out to stop the RB. If anybody thinks we’re running a QB keeper with Myles Brennan coming off this injury, they’re out of their mind. I think the read option played a much larger role tonight than being considered. I consider South Carolina a much better team defensively than Missouri. We went 0 for 10 on 3rd down against Missouri and they stuffed our shit in on the 1 yard line 4 times to win the game. We didn’t punt tonight and only had to settle for a FG once. Again, I’m not choosing sides, it’s a good problem to have. The best thing Coach O can do, is say Myles is our starter and he’s a game time decision against Auburn to make them prepare for both QB’s.
I'm with you. Now if he comes out and has a similar performance against AU, then we may be on to something. One game doesn't make you an all time great, but I'm cautiously optimistic.
Thats not what I mean. I am mean from the perspective that in these kids mind, they want to play. I can see him sitting for 2021 not 2022. Brennan better get it in high gear and get to the NFL b/c LSU is about to be stacked at QB.
