I think if he was in on 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even 4th and goal from the 1 vs. Mizzou we would be 2-1 right now.
I honestly think neither of these guys is ever our primary starter in the end. Garrett Nussmeier and Walker Howard are both going to compete for time by the time Myles is gone, especially now that Myles has an extra year of eligibility. Obviously conjecture at this point, but the incoming guys are looking nice.
TJ seems to be too good to keep off the field. Dont think he will stick around for 2 years to watch MB play?
Maybe I’m wrong. The nation sure seems pretty sensationalist as of late. But where does TJ go to a top-25 or SEC team where he starts in the next two years? And why didn’t he go there initially if he knew Brennan was here? The QBs we have that are a Jr and a Sr in high school are rated even better than TJ. If he’s leaving LSU, then we have no shot with them.
The Myles Brennan era is over. The TJ Finley (Jamarcus Russell 2.0) era has just begun. Thanks for your service, Brennan. I'm sure you'll find a good team to transfer to next year (2020 is a free season for all players, he'll still have 2 years of eligibility left). Now, if only we could get those big plays on defense under control...
Nonsense! A single game does not make a career. We had more than one QB come off the bench light it up win the starting job and commence to suck. Does Anthony Jennings, Brandon Harris and/or Ryan Perrilloux stir up any bad memories?
Let's just slow our roll here a bit. He had a great game, but it was a very simple gameplan and we did have 270+ yards rushing. Brennan has never had a running game and has always had to be the man. Not saying TJ isn't going to be great, but lets see what he can do once SEC defenses get some film and take away what he likes to do before we anoint him.
