Yes. If they don't see the field this year, and do next year, it'll not count now but will in '09. That's the analogy I was trying to make earlier comparing it to an invited walk-on.
Correct. But I think some parents are making an effort to pay their way through it as next years class will be small.
I'm thinking 4 more. Very well could be wrong. Two announcing on NSD aren't "news," one is something I'm curious about. I think we had a decent chance at pulling Ingram in from Michigan. He's a good one who very well may stay at home but I'm hearing some confidence from the Ath. Dept. that Bama is very much in the running.
I may have mentioned this to you already. I've heard as many as 4 families have been talked with about it, two having no problems with the idea at all. Both are OL and could use a year (IE: spring, summer, fall camp) to be fully ready to even play in back up roles. (Jones and Love) The two other families I've heard about, but really haven't spent a lot of time trying to find out which guys.
Oh, I'm hearing we'll be looking at adding 5 or more OL'men next season...makes it interesting looking at the numbers the past staff brought in and how they are fitting into football at this level.
So is he a USC lock? Michael from FLA Varsity.com says the three most likely teams are now Florida State, Miami, and Alabama. Spill the beans ya azzes. Surprised no LSU but were loaded. We be aight. Also said the main reason for LSU was Pelini leaving but the top three can change, and is not a lock anywhere right now. This guy is very close to Florida recruits and has a great site.
We'll see. I would be more worried if Florida was in the list of teams that TJ was interested in, then this guy would be following it a lot more intensely.
That fits with what I posted earlier about hearing from Ray's camp. Except, and this came as a shock to me when I heard it, that FSU was out of the picture as well. This is one of the reasons I just love recruiting season. There are always a handful of story lines out there that are worth following and you look forward to NSD just to see where the guy ends up. Michael Langston, as you have mentioned, is one of the most solid on the Rivals network when it comes to information.
