Looks like the D-Line will be strong once again! http://www.nola.com/sports/index.ssf/2008/01/lsu_dline_gets_boost.html Now, let's hope Beckwith makes the same decision, as well as Big Herm. I think they both will.:thumb:
This is just my opinion, but I always thought the only reason to leave early and enter the NFL Draft was because you were a bonified 1st round pick or Trev Faulk. Neither Beckwith or Big Herman or 1st rounders....yet.
They'll both be back too. :thumb: http://media.www.lsureveille.com/me...ing.Early.For.Nfl.Draft.505.P.m-3151636.shtml
Channel 2 just said that Beckwith and Jackson will both return and that Pittman is applying for another year of elligibility.
the thing you want when you go early is to be in a position to where you pretty much can't improve your stock any more than it already would be. Like Steve Slaton for example has done everything a kid could do in college, but he will never be more than a 2nd or 3rd rounder because of his size, so his decision to leave was very smart. Darry and Kirston and all the LSU boys have things they can improve on, and will next year.
The good news continues to flow for our Tigers! I think next year is gonna be a fun ride. I will not be surprised if we make the SECCG again.
I'm more then a little surprised Pittman is staying another year. I thought he'd be gone for his shot at the NFL now that he is healthy. It's a huge gamble to take coming back next year IMO given his health history. Someone more informed then me can speculate where Pittman could end up going next year but the risk of reinjury is far too high if I'm in his shoes. That said, I'm glad he's returning to help out what should be a young defense. Tyson Jackson and Beckwith staying were great decisions. TJ if he has a decent year should be a 2nd rounder at worse next year.
