Brown pants lol? This team has improved greatly. After that start, I didn't think we would see this level of play until the middle of next year. Part of it is players playing time together and for the younger ones, getting some experience. A big part of it is coaching. They seem to (finally) be calling plays more suited to the personnel on the field. More timing routes on passes and I even saw a tunnel screen last week. Guess coaches had to figure out what they had. I'd like to see a few more screen passes, especially tunnels off of run fakes. Would work when the D is stacking the box and blitzing. Install some zone blocking schemes for that Williams kid (off tackle runs). He is made for it.Plant a foot, hit the seam and break one or two a game. Biggest improvements have to be Offensive line play, play calling and the defense suddenly remembered how to tackle. Be a big surprise if they beat Bama but the way they are playing the rest are definitely winnable.
Agree, those are two tough places to play, and we aren't yet at the point in the program where we can take wins against struggling teams for granted. I said 8-4 before the season, and then 7-5 after the loss to FSU (because I was counting that as a win). I'd still be happy with 8-4, splitting the last 4.
I depend on depends. Well not there yet but hey I can't stay young and handsome for an entire lifetime! Turned 76 on Oct 1st but I feel like I am 75
