My dad would've loved yesterday's game. It's a shame he wasn't around to see it. Once upon a time, he was offered a scholarship to Ole Miss to play offensive line and baseball (LSU thought he was too small). He wouldn't sign with them because they were LSU's biggest rival. (He went to Southern Miss, instead.)
Don't know what else you will see. We have improved by leaps and bounds at every position. We probably won't beat Bama if Bryce is healthy. This is the SEC and we could lose to Arkansas and A&M if JD hoes back to his old habits. We will beat UAB. We may wind up 7-5. However we will be a tough team to beat next year. I have seen enough from this staff I am a believer. Just wish we would play milesball on 2nd and 1.
Put me down as doing a 180 in my impression of this coaching staff and team after that first game. As far as beating Bama, if the coaching can keep the rate of improvement they've shown along with the confidence this team has built in themselves our chances are as good if not better than any time I can think of. I don't know how many of y'all caught it, but Gary Daniels made the comment during the game that this team had a chance of making the playoffs and I believe it.
A&M scares me. They have great athletes everywhere. If Jimbo can turn this team around they could beat us, we play them there BTW. Arkansas could upset us. I would be happy with 2 wins of the last 4. We could win 3 if things go right for us. Winning all four is hard to imagine.
