Conference losses don't matter anymore, its overall record and actually just the CFP rankings that matter. No way they are higher than us after the get beat down by Bama next weekend. Auburn is the only one we likely don't pass.
We will have the same problem we always have with the sugar....the Sugarbowl Committee. It is made up of New Orleans business people who would rather see an outside team come and spend money at their hotels, resturant's, and businesses. It's always been tough for us because we are just down the road and unless we absolutely are the favorites they usually lobby against us going. They claim revenue is smaller when LSU is in the Sugar than other teams, and as we know it's all about the $$$$!
The 2 that stand out to me are 0 vs Alabama, and 10 against UF in the hatred game. Chattanooga scored more against Alabama than we did. The only other team Alabama blanked was Kent State. And the Florida game to me is the biggest embarrassment of the season, to me that was a must win and Orgeron and company completely blew it. LSU doesn't deserve the sugar bowl, they really don't deserve a bowl but being we are in the age of participation trophy's it will probably be Cap 1.
Yes, that was a thoroughly disappointing offensive output. What do you think the offense would have looked like in that game had O had an off season to hire his coaches, install a new offense and develop a QB?
