I don't think you have to settle on ONE qb any time soon. Rather the most important thing is to learn to win with both qb's playing and up to this point you have. Granted you haven't gotten into the hard part of your schedule yet. LSU seems to always do better with a game manager at qb rather than a game changer.

I haven't watched but a few plays of y'alls season which was the first part of the Appy game so I haven't seen what some of y'all are talking about with regards to the qb's. But I do know that the greatest asset these two qb's can have is DON'T TURN THE BALL OVER. Hatch may not can throw the ball over 20 yds and Lee may not have the ability to read defenses but as long as they don't turn the ball over you can rely on your running game, safe high percentage passes that do not require a bunch of mental pre snap processing and good defense.

But if any one of these guys start to press and begin to turn the ball over that's when things can start to go down hill and go down hill fast. Turn overs change the complexion of the game and many times the outcome.

At this point I'm not thrilled with either one, but I'll go with whoever Les puts on the field.

QB ratings don't reflect everything. In fact, they're pretty useless. I'm sure Brian Brohm had a GREAT QB rating by the end of last year. What was Louisville's record last year?

    Hmmmm.........

Well, yeah...I got that. But knowing when to check out of a pass based on the opposing defense is more important than pure ability to pass the ball!

Lee probably has a better rating due to his TD / INT ratio, but it should be noted that Hatch also has two TDs...just not through the air! That's the kind of thing that looking at them both as a passer will not tell you.

I will go with coach Miles as well. But since none of this matters I will say if I were CLM, I would start Lee against Auburn and give him a chance for greatness, because he has that potential, where as Hatch could be good, but never great.
I noticed in the game Sat that Hatch does not put any air under the ball on his deep throws, and maybe because he cannot. Lee definitely has better touch on the deep ball.
That and $4.00 will get you a gallon of gas.
