It's time to quit foolin' around with the quarterback situation and name JLee the starter. He has more talent than Hatch and can actually get the ball downfield. I know Hatch understands the offense and is a real competitor, but he just doesn't have major college talent. He'll do fine as a backup and in mop up situations, but his limited abilities make the offense one dimensional and that, against SEC defenses, translates into sure losses, even if you have a monster running game.

Don't pull that old "experience" argument out, either, it won't work. Lee should have more experience than he has, but when he's doing well, it seems someone yanks him off the field to break up his rhythm and continuity with the offense. Watch the replay against NTU if you doubt.

The coaches will do what is best for the team. Getting a good look at both QB's in game action will help them to make a decision on who gets the nod this week and hopefully the rest of the way. If it's Hatch then so be it. What I don't want is a retarded QB situation like when Saban had Randal and Russell and neither the QB's or the team could get in a rhythm through the whole season.

I think Miles is smarter than that, but some of his comments lately have left me wondering if he actually intends to play both through the season. As far as Lee being "the guy", I think Hatch looks better as a whole, and I expect him to be the trigger man down the stretch unless J-Lee can learn to make checks and read defenses. Neither is of superstar caliber, and right now the best man to run Crowton's offense is Hatch.

This guy might be an Auburn fan:hihi: or J.Lee's relative.

I would imagine the QB we use is directly related to how well our defense is playing.

Thank you for the for the 2008 season premier of "The Grass Is Always Greener"...:rolleye33:

IMHO neither look that spectacular, and there's not that much difference in how they've played to date. Still too early to claim either of them needs to be "the guy".

    After Two Games:
    Lee - 16/28 200 - 12.5 yds/att 2TD - 1 Int
    Hatch - 17/31 202 - 11.9 yds/att 1TD - 1 Int
