I can certainly appreciate the level of analysis here. But, by god, I'm just hoping the O-line can block the edge on passes and push the line on runs. Certainly putting them in the nickel can help those endeavors; I just think our struggles on offense have been extremely fundamental of late. I would say if we win the battles at the line, the rest takes care of itself. In my opinion, that was what killed us against UF.
Unfortunately I think UGA’s defense will prevent 1st downs and keep our defense on the field too long. Not sure our o line is up for this level of competition yet, which will force us into the stalls we’ve been seeing. The difference will be Fromm and a fresh back at the end of the game. Our D will be gassed and the Dawgs run away with it. Sad to say we have a few weeks of this kind game in a row. We’ve managed to stay with the mid pack teams and even won a couple but the level upcoming is too great for this young team. I hope we take away lessons for next year. I’ll be happy if they prove me wrong and just keep it respectable.
O-Line will have to step up big to give us a chance. D has to stay off the field as much as possible. IF it's close, our kicker might win it. Either we win a close one or it's not close.....
UGA is young and untested this season. They also have significant injuries on D. LSU needs to go into this game with an offensive mindset and take it to them like they did UM. While our D is strong, Gawga will move the ball and score. We just need to score a bit more, lol. I’m sticking with 35-31 LSU, with a late game TD by our offense to win it, ala Eddie Fuller against Auburn, which as I recall was an evening game like this one.
