Have you forgotten that we lost our MVP quarterback last year and had to play with three green QB's who had never started a game? Washington lost theirs and went 0-12. 8-4 in the SEC in a rebuilding year is not shameful. Neither is 4-0 this season.

    There are no gimme games.

    This.

What's ridiculous to me are fans calling for the guy to leave right now.. Who out there would even want to step into Death Valley as a coach after seeing that an 80% record, a NC, and an SEC championship, all within 4 years, isn't 'good enough'.. You think the likes of Gruden or Kelly would even consider it? Pfft.. You're freakin dreaming. We'd be lucky to get some hooker like Petrino if bmy were to have his way.

Like Ive said, I expected 1-3 losses this year. I can even accept a fourth loss. The fact remains though that we arent seeing ANY improvements. No way is that a good sign under any circumstances. When you dont improve at all in two years somethings wrong. I dont see how some of you cant acknowledge that fact? I want Miles here, but I also dont want to see us continue this spiral. I know we 4-0 but weve yet to play a good half in all 3 facets of the game. I just want to see some progress in the team.

See Larry Coker's record, year 4 and 5 then what happened in year 6. Momentum can do some amazing things and things can slide fast without it. Miles and Crowton need to call Matt Flynn and Jacob Hester to thank them for carrying the 2007 team. Has the 2008 and the 2009 version of the team been coached up or down? Is not LSU's talent on the same level with the top tier teams or not? The only area that actually lacks talent is the O-line. We have some converted defensive line guys who are now playing offense. This is also falls on the coaching staff. The only beef I have with any coach is squandering talent. The coaching staff has to MAKE it happen through teaching skills and motivating players PERIOD!

This is exactly what Ive been saying. I dont see kids being coached up like before. I dont see the same Miles that we seen in years past. I also agree, that the tail spin from last year has ran into this year. It appeared things were fixed before the bowl game but I guess not. The team lacks discipline, that starts at the top. Miles has proven to be pretty bad with clock management.

We also dont see him with the balls out attitude and taking chances. Instead we see him muffle the play calling to a very conservative, predictable gameplan.

While the OL might be a slight step down, they are still a talented group. Just very undisciplined and undercoached. LSU has lost its swagger, if that doesnt come back soon then, yes it could snowball into what happened with Coker.

You don't cut bait with a coach who has 11 losses in 4 seasons, and has won 2 BCS games, an SEC Championship, 2 West Titles, and a National Championship, after 1 mediocre season, and 4 ugly wins. Think of all of the NFL players we have lost in the last 2 seasons. I don't care what you say, you can't just reload those guys. It takes game experience and time. I still think we are rebuilding this season, and next year is going to be special, but we still have a chance to win the West this year. Sit back, take a xan bar, or smoke a bowl, or whatever, and give the Coach who has given us so much a chance.

I completely understand that we lost a lot of talent. I also know its not easy to reload in the SEC. Ive also said I wouldnt fire Miles after this year. Ive said though that if this year tailspins again then next year is do or die. Fact is we arent seeing any improvements. I can accept some tough games but weve yet to win impressively against our weakest opposition. I dont see how thats not a scary sign to some of you. You right maybe I need to smoke a lil something. Pass what you and some of the other purple and gold lenses are smoking.:yelwink2:

+1I would add, try and enjoy the season before we are 8-2 and the fans have missed it complaining and wanting Miles gone.

Seriously? One second. Only had to go 2 pages back. I've seen other statements like that too.
