Yes LSU is winning the games they are suppose to but the problem is the lack of real tangible improvements. I dont see a very focused team out there. I dont see the same fire in both the players nor Miles since the chamionship. I dont see improvements in an OL that only loss big Herm. There is no reason for them to be this lethargic. Thats not just on the coaches, thats the players as well right there. As I said I like Miles and dont at all want him fired. However if this season spins out of control then next year is crucial to his tenure IMO. This team is too damn talented to be playing like they are. Young or not, LSU is killing themselves in these games. I know you cant blow everyone out or bring your A game all the time. The thing is though LSU is yet to put together an entire great half of football. Be it no blocking, bad passing, pathetic and predictable play calling, poor tackling, bad angles, muffed snaps, poor punts, etc. The team is contantly beating themselves, there is no focus.
are we gonna get together with them during the bye week and settle it WalMart's parking lot or something?
The defense isn't the issue this year. This team is pretty much the opposite of last year. Last years team could move the ball very well but had no defense worth speaking of. Jeffersons numbers so far have been excellent. He very well could post better numbers than Flynn did. You're right though.. we're nowhere near ready to make a conference run right now -- and that is 2 years in a row.
Sure are  *Tulane. See how much respect I have for creampuffs? Yeah Red.. I'm 21. This isn't your dads LSU football team though -- we're elite now. 8-4 just isn't good enough.
so defense is good enough for you (even though you've complained about them in this thread) qb is good enough for you so basically, you want to fire the coach because the O-line is struggling? that has got to be the oddest reason i've ever heard, but you're entitled to your opinion.
UF was extremely young that year, HUGE difference. LSU has some youth, but a lot of vets in there as well. There is no excuse for how theyve just putted along thus far with no real improvements. I can accept tough wins. I can accept losses. But what scares me is the lack of discipline and overall management from the staff. I dont see much improvement from the first game. Thats the scary part.
So.... Anthing less than 3-and-out EVERY defensive battle, or a turnover is subpar. Anything less than a return on special teams is a bust, EACH TIME. Anything less than a scoring drive by the offense, EVERY TIME, means trouble. On what f'ing planet does ANY of this happen? Undefeated seasons are special in SEC for a reason. Sorry that my purple and gold glasses affect this.
Is this where Tigerforums is headed? This thread is rediculous. Lets see if curly halman is available, OK? Thanks for letting this one live Mods.
