Damn day games. Everyone is tired of baking in the sun. Would have been better to have a night game even if it meant no tv. I thought LSU was only obligated to move a certain number. Was it a decision by the conference, SCAR or LSU?
I'm sure the 2:30 kickoff was ESPN. They shuffled 6 games around and gave concessions to CBS to be able to show it on their prime network. We can't really bitch about the time since the game wasn't scheduled for Baton Rouge in the first place. That said if it was a night game I would go but I'm just going to watch on TV. Wont be as hot as the Auburn game but still with the forecast for 90 degrees it will feel like over 100 inside the stadium
So...just to get 50 or 60 thousand in the stadium, thousands of LSU fans everywhere else in the world should be deprived of seeing LSU in an SEC game? ESPN was never going to give up a chance to air the Leonard Fournette show anyway.
I'm anxious to watch LF run over some defenders but I'm certainly not excited about this game. South Carolina is in the shitter already then, with the flood, they're really limping in.
I'm good with that. If you want people to show up on such short notice having it at a better time would help. If you want to hold it mid day so it will be on tv, don't cry about an empty stadium.
There are plenty of teaching positions in La. You need to move closer to home to take care of your dad. I can find you a middle school position tomorrow. You hubby's never home anyway. You can see him every other weekend or whatever.
what control does the university (any university) have over the time of day a game rescheduled at the last minute really have? could we tell ESPN to go fuck itself and declare we're playing at 7 pm come hell or high water (yes, you know I HAD to go there)?
You cannot, however, get me back my 19 years towards retirement here. The finish line is in sight. Plus, today, it came in handy that I've been at the same school for 19 years. First period, I busted into an administrators meeting to tell them I needed to leave because I thought I was having an appedicitis attack. They didn't even flinch before telling me to go to the ER. I've earned some equity there, and my bosses know I'm not a slacker. So...I spent most of my day in the ER, getting IVs and CT scans--only to find out that I don't have appendicitis, there was nothing wrong with my internal organs, but they have no idea why I'm having sharp pains in my lower right abdomen.
