i thought before the season that this was a game we'd lose on the road. i think it is much closer than we want it to be as the
tigers play to the level of their competition again, we drop a pass in the 2nd qtr and don't throw again,

we win but it feels like emu

Tough game to gauge and probably not one either team will be sharp in. Guess LSU wins 38-17 with the spread widening in the 4rh. LF keeps 200+ us streak alive with 205. Harris breaks 150 passing and 65 rushing. Still too many drops and poor connections with WRs

Okie doesn't have a couple of kids. I'm sure that makes a difference in being available.

He was actually razzing @shane0911, but he's in the same boat as I am.

It sure does. About half of my old chums almost disappeared for 18 years after they reproduced. Now they are empty nesters and getting out again. Poor folks don't have an ounce of "hip" left in them, but they are sure happy to have the time back.

You're absolutely correct, of course. I can see the parenting "finish line" in view now and have no desire to even pick up a baby.

My finish line is still a bit of a ways off--though daughter #1 will be in college in four years. Then, it'll be a one-child nest for an additional 4 years.

But, yes, we talk with friends we never see anymore about being able to go sit on a patio for nice, long Friday afternoon happy hours as soon as were not running someone to dance or attending high school football games in a few years.
