Nice article on Grant Dozar below. Didn't realize that (including DH) he has started games at 6 different positions in his LSU career. He was Morgan City High's ace pitcher for 3 seasons before that. Which gets me thinking about the time back in the 90's when LSU's Keith Osik performed an "iron man" game. Against a mid-week in-state opponent, Osik started at catcher and changed positions every inning, ending the game on the mound. Only if LSU jumped out big in a mid-week game. I don't know how likely that is with all the 1-run games we've had this season.
True, but the Osik game was a pre-planned strategy. They had publicized beforehand that they would use him that way.
