I'm surprised they got Aranda and equally surprised they moved so fast. This suggests the Admin aren't as dysfunctional as I thought. Alleva must have been feeling heat and knew this was no time to screw around, he simply wouldn't have gotten away with it. For the hire to have happened this quickly means LSU must have known Steele was leaving for awhile. Which shows the program can keep secrets when they want to. Interesting and very positive development. Negativity doesn't accomplish much other than take a couple years off one's life.Would be curious to know if there were specifics in the contract to counter the "one and done" possibility. Had to have been a major talking point.
I think you nailed it. Alleva, here's your wake up call....one day you're eating like a king, the next, you're on the menu.
With Alleva being recently nuetered, he may not have had much of a part in hiring Aranda. Also Aranda was interviewed last year and was supposedly Miles first choice, so much of the ground work may have been done previously. No matter how it happened, getting the right guy and getting him quickly is a huge improvement over last year's hire and other recent administration cluster phucks.
Good point. I guess we'll see who really got clipped (Les or Alleva) when Cam's contract comes due in March.
If Cam is still still here the day after signing day you'll have your answer then. You can bet the house Miles now wears the pants and Alleva the skirt, Cam is going nowhere.
As long as Peveto goes, I could care less about Cam. Miles has been f'ing up the offense for 10+ years. The key isn't whether Cam goes and we have another OC, the key is whether Miles got the message and quits meddling. A fresh OC who is more resistant to Miles' meddling could be good, I suppose.
Wasn't the LSU kick-offs during the Texas bowl so sad? LSU didn't have confidence in their own special team scheme to give #11 on Texas Tech a chance to return the whole game. They kept kicking it short. Agree, fire Peveto.
