If Jennings wouldn't have gotten arrested he probably would have been the starter, and it's kind of hard for the sky to fall when that bitch has already crashed.

It's hard for me to be positive when this LSU thing feels like a bad marriage with the kids already graduated and gone.

Elite DCs may not have wanted to come last year or this year because of Alleva. You think these guys are idiots? You don't think they know about the tension with Alleva? You think the elite candidates don't have sources? Don't talk to ex-LSU coaches? If you are a highly sought after DC with multiple options why the hell would you choose LSU if everybody tells you the AD is a Dick looking to can the entire staff as soon as he can get away with it. Wake up people. Alleva is toxic right now for recruiting.

What a load of crap. ALLEVA failed to get the job done and failed to keep his house in order. He had leaks springing from all directions and even before that he was the reason Chief left. Currently he's hurting recruiting of players and coaches. Your hatred of Les appears to have curdled your brain if you think Alleva has been doing a good job.

not even shane hates les. his offense is what people hate. alleva wanting to can Les was the consensus of the fanbase. he was doing what the people wanted. Until they didnt. And the idiots in charge collapsed like a house of cards.

You keep blaming alleva for the miles decline and ill keep telling you rationalizing finishing 5th and 4th in our own division is les miles doing. coping mechanisms are great arent they.

Yes, hence the lack of job security. Of course Miles on the brink of getting fired plays a part. The point you seem to miss is why is Miles so close to getting fired? Is it Alleva's fault that Miles can't develop an offense or a QB? If he could, do you think he would have more job security therefore making it easier to recruit players and coaches. Alleva screwed up the attempted firing of Miles, but Miles put himself in that position.

I have a hard time believing any DC worth a fart will want to jump into this shit show, especially an established proven one. Aranda is a successful up and comer that seems very interested. Miles should crawl on his hands and knees all the way to Wisconsin and beg him to come to LSU. Miles is a team down by 17 late in the 4th. He needs a miracle to turn things around. He doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell without a quality defense. He better pull a rabbit out his ass on this hire and quick.

Whatever he did I'm glad he got Aranda. I don't think with the current situation there was a better option out there. Credit to Miles for getting it done and not taking forever to do it.

I didn't think there was a better candidate period, this guy has the best resume in CFB in my opinion. Which makes it really more surprising that Miles was able to bring him here.
