No, but if LSU has a crappy season you can lock me in a padded cell for two weeks with just water and crusty bread, while negatiger recordings are blared ear crushingly into the cell 24/7 saying "told you so" and "f*king sunshine pumping idiot" and "Les's championship was with Sabans players" and "Les sux, Chávez sux, Steele sux, you sux, BDP sux" and "Saban is God" and "Mettenberger doesn't count because he was a Georgia recruit."
How many current SEC coaches would you trade Miles for? We'd all trade him for Saban, even those of us who can't stand him. Would you trade him for McElwain? Butch Jones? Malzhan? Bulemia? Freeze? Smart? Mason? Stoops? Mullen?
I'd consider them all in theory, but I don't like the inbred trend in coaching hires. At least Steele wasn't a lateral. I don't mind losing Chief and Steele because I think it was mostly desired from our end, but I think it's bush league to poach from conference does.
But what if Alleva was a key component in LSU losing Chavis? And in our head-scratching hire of Steele (I'm even more confused about why AU wants him)? Has that bastard been undermining Miles in an attempt for LSU football to suck badly enough to get rid of Miles? I think Alleva is a ball-less wonder, to be honest. If he wanted Miles fired, his one opportunity was right after the Ole Miss game; I mean--right after it. Instead, he stayed oh-so-silent on the issue and allowed Miles a farewell tour with everyone from the fans to the team to the national media. He came out on the losing side of that debacle, looking like a jackass. I have always been uneasy with Alleva because I thought he was a real asshole after the Duke lacrosse scandal. I never understood why LSU wanted him.
unless hes undermined the offense then this is a moot point. its all about the qbs and shitty offense which is the constant. no need to look for even more excuses for miles. the reason alleva wants him out is because he has eyes. same reason you wanted him gone. trying to rationalize miles fall from grace doesnt help fix the problem. The school is more important than him. or should be.
And last year at this time (ater losing the bowl game), people insisted that Jennings would, without a doubt, be the QB this year (and until he graduates.) He barely sniffed the field this year. And likely won't see it much next year. People here wanted to see Harris, and Miles went with him for better or for worse. He had flashes where he played well this year, and he was a key component of the bad three weeks in November. But he is a sophomore. I'm an optimist. You don't honestly feel that Harris will be much improved as a junior? Look at Dak Prescott as a freshman/sophomore compared to him as a junior/senior. It happens all the time. LaSalle, come off of the extreme negativity and be a bit more objective. The sky isn't falling, Miles wasn't fired, so cheer up.
